The story behind the glam...

My journey into makeup did not begin because I wanted to become an artist. It began because I wanted to feel more confident in my own skin.

 

As a teenager, I struggled with acne and blemishes for years. Growing up, my family was very frugal and I understood the value of making the most of what we had. I never wanted to ask for things I knew were not necessities because I could see how hard my parents worked and how much they sacrificed for our family. If a skincare product was more than $15, it simply was not an option. Instead, I taught myself how to use makeup as a way to cover and camouflage my problematic skin while saving up for the drugstore skincare I could afford. Looking back, those limitations became

some of my greatest lessons, teaching me creativity, resilience and

compassion for others who may be struggling with their own skin.

 

At 17 years old, I was asked to do makeup for my very first bride. Watching her look in the mirror and seeing her confidence shine is a feeling I will never forget. That moment sparked something in me, and I have been chasing that same feeling ever since. It is a privilege to help someone feel like the very best version of themselves on one of the most meaningful days of their life.

 

For a long time, I never imagined makeup could become a career. It was not until I met my husband Jamey, that everything changed. He believed in my talent long before I fully believed in it myself and encouraged me to pursue makeup artistry full time. His confidence in me gave me the courage to build the business I had only dreamed about.

 

Today, my passion extends beyond makeup. I also work in medical

aesthetics, where I have developed a deep appreciation for skincare and skin health. Because of my own experiences, I have a special place in my heart for clients who struggle with skin concerns. I have had the honor of helping brides navigate autoimmune related skin flare ups, creating customized makeup applications for clients with trichotillomania who have lost their brows or lashes and working with every Fitzpatrick skin type and every age, from 4 to 90 years old. Every face has a story and it is a privilege to be trusted with it.

 

Over the years, I have been fortunate to work with brides, editorial teams, photographers, filmmakers, brands, models and fellow creatives. Whether I am preparing someone for their wedding day, a campaign, headshot or a special milestone, I genuinely love being part of bringing a vision to life.

 

I will always remember where I started. Before I owned professional makeup brushes, I used paint brushes for arts and crafts from Walmart on myself because they were all I could afford. I still keep a few of them tucked away as a reminder of that determined young girl who made the most of what she had. They remind me that talent grows through passion, resourcefulness and persistence, not expensive tools. I never could have imagined that a young girl simply trying to cover her acne would one day build a career with her own two hands. Every client who sits in my chair

becomes part of that story, and I am grateful I get to do what I love.

I began cutting my own hair at sixteen and started doing cuts color and extensions, as well as taking on clients professionally around nineteen years old. A little over two decades later I am still doing extensions, cuts, and color, as part of Lynn & Co. with my wife, Giddel.

​

I also provide Video & Photography services for everyone from Brides to businesses, TV shows to influencers and anything in between both in the USA and abroad. I’m a drone pilot as well for any of your Ariel Video or Photo needs.
